Precision Armament M4-72 Review

Awesome Compensator

If you want to eliminate recoil and reduce muzzle rise, this Precision Armament M4-72 is for you. Of course, you’ll be the loudest one on the line, but that shouldn’t bother you. I installed this on an AR-10 chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor, and the recoil and muzzle rise was lower than my standard 5.56 AR-15… Incredible. The timing was a little difficult; I didn’t like the ‘amazing’ system the manufacturer recommended, it actually made it more difficult. Got a cheap set of muzzle washers on eBay that worked like a charm. All in all, I would recommend this ar 15 muzzle brake.

First impressions

I bought this Precision Armament M4-72 compensator due to its excellent results from the tests I have seen on YouTube. It makes a noticeable difference in muzzle rise and recoil. So far, it has performed as expected. I have it on a home built AR10 that is very light and needed a recoil reduction device.

Incredible recoil reduction

I purchased this Precision Armament M4-72 brake based on the review and comparison that was done on thetruthaboutguns.com. It does exactly as intended and cuts recoil down to almost zero. I initially put it on my Kel-Tec RDB, but the blast from having the muzzle so close to you while in an indoor range was too much. Outdoors would likely be fine, but indoors is too much, so I moved it to an AR platform and absolutely loved it.

Stephen,

AR Muzzle break

This muzzle brake is just amazing. I put it on my 6.5 CM so my kids would be able to shoot it. The 6.5 CM is a low recoil round to begin with, and this makes it that much better. I believe this is the best muzzle brake I own. The only downside is the noise, but that should come as no surprise to anyone.

WOW, extreme recoil reduction.

Bought one of these Precision Armament to go on a Remington 700 tactical 308. And loved it enough to get one for my AR. The fit and finish are perfect! Indexing was simple with the washers — a major reduction in muzzle movement and recoil.

Perfect Compensator

The Precision Armament significantly reduced recoil and kept the barrel and scope from moving so I could watch my bullet impact. It is very loud, especially if you are standing off to the side a bit. But, it is well worth the noise to have control of the sight picture during recoil.
