Surefire 6px pro reviews
Love this Surefire 6px flashlight
I love this flashlight! The surefire 6px is Super bright and the controls are easy to operate. First, it comes on low and then toggles quickly to get onto the brighter setting. This is perfect for using the low setting for general use, and if you see something that needs further investigating at the bright level toggle to the bright setting quickly. The bright setting is super bright (wouldn’t need anything brighter) and lights up the entire greenbelt behind our house. On the bright setting can easily see 100 yards away. The only drawback is it is a little large for EDC pocket carry. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a reasonably priced, high-quality flashlight. Mark in AZ
The surefire 6px pro is solid, bright, built like a tank.
The surefire 6px pro is a solid flashlight! I got tired of cheap flashlights that die and flicker all the time, so I decided to go all out and buy something nice. I have not been disappointed at all! I use this every single day now, and I really like it. I never thought I would use a flashlight so much. Note for battery life that this has two power settings. In the description, it only claims to have 2 hours of battery life, but that is in its bright setting. In its dim setting, it lasts for around 50 hours if I remember correctly. I have been using this flashlight every day with its original batteries, switching between both settings depending on what I need, and it has lasted me for the duration of me owning it so for (a month) with no battery replacements. This flashlight also has a small section at the bottom that you can twist to make it impossible for the flashlight to turn on. That way, when you travel, you can save battery power when it’s in your bag because it won’t accidentally turn on. Also, if you are a police officer or military, I am assuming it might be nice to have this function, so you don’t accidentally give away your position in a high-stress situation by accidentally turning on your flashlight. The dim setting is perfect for everyday use. I only use the bright setting if I am walking at night and need to see something in the distance brighter. But the dim setting works great for late-night walks, electronic repairs, etc. My only complaint: The transparent cover on the front (glass, or plastic idk) feels really weak. It hasn’t been a problem, but when you tap on it, it feels thin, plasticky, and fragile. Other than that, this flashlight is built like a tank. Bros
Great light
I have to admit I never spent this much on a flashlight, but I wanted to upgrade some of my equipment, so I put down the bucks. First, I received it in record time. The order was packed well and arrived without damage. The light feels solid, and the beam is very bright. Probably the most important fact about this flashlight is the quality of light. You get a complete bright, uninterrupted field of light from this flashlight. I hadn’t noticed it before with my cheaper light, but I put this light side by side with one of my other good but cheaper lights, and there is no comparison. If you want the best, then buy the Surefire.

Stake your life and money on a surefire every time
I am an electrical contractor. I make most of my money in residential crawlspaces and attics and in commercial/industrial service areas. To say that my flashlight is indispensable to my job is an understatement. I have used many different kinds of lights over the years in the toughest conditions short of hard military use, and I can say that even the high-quality lights seem to have a finite lifespan and can suffer from a number of environmentally induced failures. The notable exception is my old Surefire G2 (the design predecessor of the g2x/6px). It works every single time, no matter what, even after 15 years of abuse (it looks like it has been run over by a convoy of trucks but is still structurally 100% and waterproof). I upgraded the emitter assembly with a Malkoff drop in a number of years ago because the early Surefire emitters were not that bright or efficient, and I continue to use this light daily at work. I purchased a g2x a couple of years ago for off work carry and am very impressed with its brightness and efficiency (it is the same light as this 6px but with nitrogen body). Many (not all) of the lights now being made by Fenix, Sitecore, light, etc., are great lights in every regard, but there are so many models out there now that finding one involves a lot of research unless you happen to have a friend who is an extreme flashaholic that can make a recommendation. If you don’t want to get into all that but want extreme reliability and better than average efficiency, you absolutely cannot go wrong with Surefire, period. P.S. I did pick up 2 of these lights for stupid cheap on a lightning deal today, but I don’t expect ever actually to need them…
