Ruger 10/22 barrel band reviews

probably not worth it

I bought this Ruger 10/22 barrel band for my takedown since there are no aftermarket stocks available yet (and don’t want to spend the money on regular stock and try to modify it and screw it up). My main problem is that the lower rail is too small. When mounting a small bi-pod, it doesn’t have enough space to get an excellent sturdy connection. It’s either too far forward or too far back.

This Barrel band replaces the factory front Ruger 10/22 barrel bandand allows the use of a bipod plus a pointing device like a flashlight or laser. The product fits works well and looks good. What more can you want from something like this?

Bought this for a Ruger Takedown. It seems to fit and is a quality Ruger 10/22 accessory for its intended purpose. I haven’t used it for anything on the Takedown 10/22. I think it will be better for a regular model. It does give you a couple of rails without buying new 10/22 stock.

A must-have. Very few options for a Picatinny rail out there for a stock 10/22. This product gives the capability to mount a detachable laser/light combo and a detachable bipod onto my Ruger 10/22 Takedown. 

Good quality for the price.

This is an excellent accessory if you want to add a little tactical to your rifle without buying a (sometimes ugly) replacement stock, or if you have a 10/22 takedown like me, that replacement stocks will defeat the purpose, this is an excellent solution. Or even if you want to put a light and sling attachment point like me, then it will function well. It is effortless to install and replaces your existing barrel band, It seems to be about as good quality polymer as the factory band, maybe a little less because the rail areas provide points for random things to snag and put more stress on the group. I don’t know if this will increase the likelihood of breakage, but it is a thought. It is not meant to be hard-used, but then again, a 10/22 isn’t that kind of rifle. It will serve about as well as you can expect, and I don’t think it will fail anytime soon. 

Damn Close…

Great idea/design…would be better for me if the rails were a bit more to the size specs of metal rails. The bottom rail is a bit loose, causes the Red Laser/200 Lumen Tactical Flashlight to slide off under slight pressure. The same light works just fine on all my other rails (metal). Tolerances may be different on NYLON material. I am keeping it anyway. ABM.
