Weaver scope rings reviews

1″Weaver Tacital 6-hole rings

I have used these rings in 1″ and 30mm weaver rings for mounting higher power rifle scopes on ARs and bolt guns. In either application with extended rails, these rings are bulletproof! They take abuse, carry, and weather without allowing the scope to lose zero.

Sturdy Non-Slip scope rings, easy to install

I have three sets of these six-hole 30mm rings installed for over a year now. Two sets connected on 308’s and one set on a 30-06. They were easy to install and haven’t ever slipped. I highly recommend great value.

Excellent product.

Excellent product. Robust, lightweight, and hold the scope in place no matter what. I have used them on my 416, 378, 30-378 Weatherby, 7mm and 300 RUM’s, and other big kickers with no problems whatsoever. I highly recommend it.

these are you can buy for the money and then some

I’m a long-range shooter and have been for many years. I’ve used weaver products always, and I have no complaints. I will still use weaver scope rings until something better comes along. I intend to buy another as soon as I get my other scope. I’m going from a 50mm to 56mm, not sure of ring height.

solid

I’ve used the 4-hole and 6-hole versions on different rifles over the years. On my custom-built R700 with the Weaver 20 moa rail, I have never had any issue with loss of zero or loosening of hardware over five years of shooting, hiking, horse-packing, dropping/banging, my rifle. Also, I ran my lapping bar through the rings, and they appeared perfectly uniform. Best scope rings for the money.

works well

I have these installed on a 338 win Mag and 223 bolt rifles. They offer me the ability to remove the scope and reinstall without much focal movement. Easy to install; however, I did buy the wrong type the first time and hired “Weaver,” not weaver style. No change at all from 300-grain bullets. Not attractive on Browning rifles. However, that is a matter of choice. I have medium hight on Browning A bolt and Savage Axis. I have .2 clearance with Vortex 6×24 50mm scope 30mm tube. I used Leupold high rings with the same scope on Browning X bolt 300 Win Mag and had less permission. Maybe call Weaver to get the correct height.

Last Weaver Rings

This mount does hold the scope onto the base. Removal and reinstallation are significant pain. When I remove the range, the nut, bolt, and side lock plate come apart and fall off in my hand when the scope is pulled off. The older Weaver-style of ring bases had a stop on the cross-bolt so the nut could not come off. The more former ring bases had holes drilled for the cross bolt instead of slots, so the lock could not come off. I worry about losing parts when removing the scope and replacing it. I will eventually replace these out with a better design. I have been using rings since the 1960s, and the old style was a good buy for the money. The new ones are not; they are a pain.

Great Scope Rings

I mounted these scope rings on a Weaver #99673 1/2″ rail, and I’m delighted with the results. I was able to obtain the perfect ring spacing AND height for my application. The range of adjustment possible with a rail/ring mounting option worked out better for me than one piece forward bases I used in the past. These rings are full for a secure grip on the scope tube and rail, six Torx screw per cap, and steel cross bolts for base mounting add up to rock-solid stability. Looks great and holds tight, A+ for Weaver.
