Super clear optics, Burris (high) quality/warranty, 1-4 power, perfect for AR AK FAL platform. Excellent for close-range or 100 yard plus targets. Works well with both eyes open… super-fast target acquisition. Don’t much need a lighted reticle??? Well, I thought so also… but, in reality, worked well in low light as the sun was going down. Button batteries don’t often leak so you can leave it in the scope and forget about it. Or, don’t use the lighted feature at all. Ran 250 rounds through my FAL with no loss of zero.

I’ve bought 3 of these Burris tac30 scopes starting several years back. The Good: will take a beating, bright, useful reticle, long battery life, tracks well and dots are accurate, clear glass, looks beautiful, the mount is almost repeatable, cheaper than purchasing everything separately. The Bad: you have to turn the whole eyepiece to adjust magnification. Brightness settings a bit of a pain but still an enormous scope. Last, the red dot is too high up there, and it’s redundant in that the scope goes down to 1x. Never the less I’m glad it’s there. I use them on pistols. Cheaper than buying one separate. All in all one of the best values in optics

Enormous scope for the price very clear glass. If you want something for precise shooting, not for you, but it’s excellent for real-world tactical shooting and fast target acquisition. With 55 grain private and federal xm193 ammo, I consistently shoot two moa groups of 5 shots at 100 yards, 69 grains brought it down to 1.5 moas. People whine about the illumination switch, but it’s not difficult to use, and I never shoot with it illuminated anyway.

Great value for the money spent. Consistently accurate. BDC reticle works as described when sighted on at 100 yards.
