ATI SKS Strikeforce Stock Review
This SKS has been in my arsenal since I was the young child as it was given to me by my grandfather. Once I got to my teenagers, the stock was too brief for me to comfortably shoot and so if I wanted to take prone or standing, I’d need to have a buttstock pad to prolong my length to fire on the rifle so the extent would not return and hit my glasses. Last year at the shot show I talked with ATI about getting the Strikeforce Stock with Scorpion Recoil System for the SKS plus they consented to send it out.
I know some of you’re asking yourself why I’d take this rifle from this clean, nice looking SKS stock in case my only issue was the length of pull which is simple to remedy. The simple answer is I was looking at upgrade this rifle plain and simple. The SKS fires the 7.62x39mm around which is quite common and more economical than 223 and a few times you wish to just go to the stove and blow off a little steam and feel a little more kickback than 22lr along with the SKS and AK-47 were good for that. However, I’ve gotten more accustom to having a pistol grip, and I wanted one for this particular rifle too.
The ATI SKS Strikeforce Stock with Scorpion Recoil System comes along with three railings to the front part of the stock so you may attach lasers and bipods. It’s got a six position AR design side-folding buttstock, and I have not found anyone who has employed the third position on this stock. General Thoughts: I felt recoil both and prone however it was light and manageable. If you’re looking to update and update your SKS, it’s difficult to go wrong with this stock.
