Atlas BT10 Reviews
Not what I expected
After reading various reviews here and elsewhere on the internet, I supposed to be very happy when Atlas Bipod arrived, but I am not impressed at all. The finish on the bipod is excellent, and rotating the legs 45 and 90 degrees is comfortable, and they lock up solid, but if you extend the legs, that’s where it gets sloppy. The further you spread the legs, the more slop they have, and the trash are different on each leg, so trying to preload the bipod causes the rifle to cant to the left quite a bit. Also, unless you raise the legs to the top before folding and carrying the gun, you have rattle noise while walking. I expected a much better quality bipod for the price and will stick to Harris or another brand from now on. Lesson learned
Great Legs
I purchased the Atlas BT10 to replace my Harris bipod that I was using on my Long Range rifle. I debated getting it for months due to the cost. In the end, well worth it. Pros: -The Pan & Cant design all together…which makes it very ergonomic for different types of shooting positions and terrain. -Very stable/steady -Notched adjustable legs. -The ability to remove and change out the feet on it. -The Finish Con: -A little on the Noisy side….squeaks from the bearing type assembly(not sure what it’s called), that allows you to extend/collapse the legs. Overall…Great design and I would purchase another. I have already recommended it to others.
Brilliant
I knew this Atlas BT10 bipod was going to be good, just not this good. Harris bipods are tremendous, but the fantastic thing is that this is worth the high price tag. Well built, easy to use, and lightweight considering how “heavy-duty” it is.This is the best bipod out there. I use this bipod on my rifle as well as my service weapon and have seen better controllability of my guns while under recoil.
An excellent product, if a bit expensive
I tend to focus much more on quality than price when building my rifles and having owned Harris bipods before I was not impressed. This bipod was well-reviewed in several places, so I picked one up during my POF 20-inch .308 project. I just shot the rifle for the first time yesterday, and the bipod does not disappoint. It was at full extension and did a great job of keeping the big rifle stable. Plus, it’s 100% made-in-the-USA. Yes, the price is high, but the value is there (compared to some products that are overpriced).
Top of the line…
This is the best bipod available. I have quite a few of them dating back to a steel stoner bipod from RVN. This Atlas BT10 is the way to go if you want stability as well as full adjustability. This one is on my LR308 that is on the road to that 1000m shot. Beware Chinese knock offs of this item; they are junk.
Solid Bipod!
I chose this Atlas BT10 bipod because I was looking for a heavy-duty unit to install on a new Barrett MRAD 338 Lapua. I have Harris and GGG bipods on my other rifles but wanted something more modern than the Harris and a better lock mechanism than the GGG. I took a chance and…SCORE! Smooth operation and versatility. I considered the QD version, but since this will never be removed from my MRAD, I could not justify the additional cost. Works well with their monopod.
No Regrets
I bought the Atlas BT10 to put on a custom-built M21 EBR, and it exceeded my expectations. The build quality is phenomenal. The legs adjust out to 9 inches but still are solid even with a heavy, high caliber rifle. The bipod is extremely adjustable, allowing it to adapt to any shooting surface. This beats the pants off of any cheap brand of the bipod. Harris Bipod can’t even hold a candle to the superiority of Atlas Bipod. If you are looking for a quality bipod that looks good and will last forever, then Atlas Bipod is the ONLY choice.
