Putting Together the Bushnell TRS-25
The good news is that mounting the red dot is very easy and virtually anyone who can follow instructions can mount the unit in a short period of time. Al that you need to do is place and slide the riser block on the Picatinny rail and then tightens it down with the large thumb screw. You can use a wrench if you want, but do not tighten the device too much as it will become useless if the battery supply runs out and you can’t loosen the screw from the mount.
You can mount the red dot on the riser bock using the allen wrench which is supplied with the product. The riser block is well suited for rifles and shotguns, but not for handguns. You want the red dot to line up with the front sight blade for maximum accuracy assuming that the sights have been properly adjusted. In this manner, you can look through the optic and then make the needed adjustments until the dot itself rests on the blade of the front sight. You can then do live-fire tests to make further adjustments for even better accuracy.
The optics themselves come with a battery that you can change out rather easily thanks to a removable cover that will unscrew out of the face of the rheostat. Since it is slotted, you can use a screwdriver, knife or even a quarter to do this particular task. There are rubber O-ring gaskets to keep out the water and debris from getting inside the scope itself.
This makes the Bushnell TRS-25 easy to set up and use for all types of weapons and targets. The dot flare is kept to a minimum so that you can make brightness level adjustment settings to what you feel is most comfortable. Plus, even in broad daylight a setting of “6” is usually more than enough to easily see the dot on the target.
Thanks to the crisp adjustments that will click with moved so you can keep track the Bushnell TRS-25 is simply one of the best of its type on the market today.
