Better than I hoped for

I researched long and hard before I decided to go with the ATI folding shotgun stock… but wow!!! I’m glad I did… fits perfectly… worked flawlessly… and absorbs a lot more of the recoil then I have hoped…
I am a short guy…with sharp, stocky arms… and I did find that the shortest adjustable position was still a little uncomfortable… so. I did what any regular guy would do… I machined one shorter notch in the buffer tube… and couldn’t be happier… thanks so much to ati for so many great products…
…… and…FYI… I even used one of the other gun receiver adapters from this kit to install the ati shot force stock to an ATI 12g autoloader… with minimal modifications…of course… thanks again.

TI Side Folding Stock – Mossberg 500

My goal was to build a tactical shotgun. I could easily store me in a small place. I also wanted the option to shoot it without the stock, just the pistol grip. This stock allows just that. Craftsmanship is perfect on this stock (along with every other commodity I’ve bought from ATI) I would recommend this. Also, I did not install the cheek pad. However, I used 2 of the mounting holes to mount a custom 5pc shell holder. It fits perfectly.

I have mixed feelings on the stock. Overall I like it. It adjusts nicely, and the rubber pad does a great job of absorbing recoil. Most of the grip is comfortable; however, the one big negative about this stock is how the folding hinge severely intrudes into where you grip. The bottom of the hook sits lower than an average person’s hand naturally wants to sit. If you are shooting with gloves, it is less noticeable but still awkward. I wish I would have ordered the non-folding variation of the stock since the only issue I have is the discomfort caused by the folding stock’s hinge.

Stock is well built and simple to install. It took about 15 minutes and a YouTube video to connect easily. Adds a great feel to any shotgun. Folding capability is perfect for home defense purposes. Be advised if your shotgun has a shell carrier mounted on the left side; the folding option is not functional but still ergonomic and well built. Feels more durable than the original Mossberg 500 stock.

I got my stock delivered early. Installation was quite comfortable on my Remington 870 stock it works very well; it is what I have been looking for.
