Great Remington 870 Grip

A Remington 870 Pistol Grip is not the way to go, and it transfers recoil energy to the wrist, birds head allows the gun to slide back and is a much more comfortable solution.

takes almost all the fun out of a great gun

Fit and finish on the Remington 870 raptor grip is near-perfect. Install was effortless. However, it severely lacks in practical application. Shooting with this grip on is a chore and takes almost all the fun out of a great gun. I bought this item as kind of a joke, but it seems the trick was on me. I imagine it would be great on an NFA short-barreled shotgun/AOW setup, but with a full length 18.5″ barrel, handing was ridiculous.

Solid with heft

I expected something a little lighter and a plastic-y feeling. I was wrong. It’s pretty solid and feels good in the hand. I’m not particularly looking forward to shooting a 12 gauge with any pistol grip, but if I have to, I’d prefer this one.

Fits my Remington 870 like a glove.it looks like it was built this way from the factory. I was skeptical at first, but this does reduce the felt recoil dramatically. It only took me a couple of minutes to install, and I am not very familiar with taking apart firearms.

I bought this raptor grip and didn’t notice it was for the Remington. I called shockwave, and they exchanged it for the mossberg raptor version and no cost with speedy service!
