Streamlight TLR 7 Reviews

Mostly what I expected.

I recently replaced my place for the Streamlight TLR 7 on my Glock 19. Being in Alaska, I use gloves often when shooting, so I wanted a light that had a button that didn’t interfere with my gloves. The compact design and smaller button are what I wanted. Although, sometimes, when I want to illuminate, it’s a task to reach and push the button. It will take some getting used to, but I’m happy with my purchase and would recommend it to someone that shoots with heavy gloves.

The Streamlight TLR 7 is Just right

Provided a tight fit and filled rooms with enough light if pointed at the ground so as not to flag someone while searching, but concentrated enough in the center to cause visual impairment when pointed directly at someone. Also doesn’t seem to bother my vision when reflecting off light-colored walls. Construction appears sturdy, will update when I get a chance to take it for some range time.

Streamlight TLR 7 is Bright and Tough

This is truly the next level tlr series. No issues with quality or functionality. It does take time to adjust to the new control, but that’s a user issue. It’s bright and tight, without the bulk. Holsters and handles well, I’m impressed so far.

Night Stand gunlight

At 500 lumens, this gunlight is. Perfect for my Glock 19. It does not blind you, and it gives you a good field of vision. It was easy to install, but I did notice that it’s a little harder to turn on than others I have tried before.

Fast Eddie Felson,

Streamlight TLR 7

I purchased the Streamlight TLR 7 for my Sig P320RX Compact, and the TLR 7 fit perfectly flushed with muzzle and trigger guard. I’ve already had the TLR 8 on my first P320 Compact that has the laser option due to not having an RMR, and this works flawlessly. Installing the light is a cinch and takes 2 minutes. The first time may cause a bit of confusion since the instructions aren’t visible. The light looks terrific attached to the pistol. Installing the 123 battery is very user friendly as it only takes unscrewing the lens cap off, which can be done with light attached to the pistol. The controls on the 7 are super easy to use having switches on either strong or support sides. The ambient switch is a simple push forward once to turn on, and once again to turn off. Or you can keep a finger on force forward motion to keep light on, then release button to turn off. The 500 lumens emits a “warm” white light that is relatively bright. I have a 380-lumen tactical flashlight that has a much whiter light, so I was a little disappointed the TLR 7 (and 8) isn’t as bright. But for purposes of self defense in a nighttime scenario, the TLRs will do just fine. The light will blind your attacker without a doubt. Overall the device is very well constructed and feels very robust and sturdy. After hundreds of rounds through both 320s, the lights haven’t budged or come loose at all. I think these TLRs are the best looking and best value for the price. I’m incredibly impressed with the Streamlight products. I already have another TLR 7 on order for my Glock 19.

Streamlight TLR7 is a Nice light

Nice light. I like the fit on the firearm. Doesn’t extend past the barrel of a Glock 19/23. Bright enough to use in daylight into dark areas but not too bright to cause white light issues for the user. Controls are easy to use, ambidextrous, and where they need to be for concealed carry, NOT in the trigger well. In my opinion, the only time your finger should be in the well is to pull the trigger. This light uses a COMMON CR123 battery that you can buy just about anywhere, which is a huge plus over other views. This light is made out of aluminum, where other lights are made of polymer. This light is a no brainer for concealed carry who wants to use a weapon light or for people that want to replace their tlr1 with something smaller.
