Superlative Arms Adjustable Gas Block Review

Quick and easy to use recommended

Superlative Arms adjustable gas block was a pleasure to use. The adjustment screw detents in place really well. I only spent about 5 minutes perfectly tuning my ar10, and now it recoils softer than my ar15. There wasn’t any fiddling with Loctite to hold the adjustment screw in place. In the end, I highly recommend this product; it’s definitely worth the price.

Good, but I think the gas bleed off is pointless.

I am running this Superlative Arms on a BCM 20″ SAM-R rifle length barrel with a JP SCS spring, and at eight clicks out from the bottom, it runs awesome. This AR-15 Gas Block is good, and I am only going to use it for gas restriction since I think bleeding off-gas is completely pointless; I would much rather have more metal in the gas block where they drilled the bleed-off hole for more strength. Other than that, the finish is excellent. I found the detent to be not too precise and could be more positive, but it does appear that it will hold the setting. I have marked it just in case. I found this slipped on my barrel easier than my BCM gas block, so it could have tighter tolerances there. Overall it is a good block. I like that I can access everything from the front with my 13″ BCM rail installed without having to remove it to disassemble. I think the SLR rifle works adjustable is still my preferred choice since bleed off is not necessary.

Good as they come

Perfect fit, smooth and positive clicks, and good range between clicks. This is my third Superlative Arms Adjustable Gas Block w/ bleed off, and I am happy equally with all 3. Particularly paired with the correct buffer/spring combo, you can cut recoil impulse down drastically AND render proper timing with this block. My 6.5 Creedmoor pushing 135gr bullets at 2960fps has the recoil of a .22lr and not a stitch more – crosshairs stay exactly on target every single shot.

Precision Adjustable Made Product for your AR Gas Block Need

I used the .936 Diameter adjustable gas block on my .458 SOCOM to allow for suppression adjustments. It’s a well-made part and comes with everything you need. The only somewhat small negative was a used a very narrow or small diameter hand-guard. It was a bit too tall for using an abnormally small hand-guard. So I ultimately used it on a standard heavy barrel AR build. But I would buy another one in a minute. The craftsmanship was Superlative!
