Tapco Intrafuse 10/22 Stock Reviews
Very nice 10/22 stock
Very nice 10/22 stock. Everything went together very easy. Gave the 10/22 a real tactical look. The only complaint is the magazine well was too small. Factory mag would not drop out, had to pry out. A Dremel tool with a sanding bit took care of that, though, and now mag goes in and drops out smooth. Very solid and no rattles either. I would recommend for anyone wanting a different look to a standard 10/22.
This is an excellent stock for …
This is an excellent stock for the money. I have one on my spare 10/22, which I use for training. Combined with Tech Sights and a VQ hammer/bolt release pack, it makes an excellent, inexpensive training rifle. The adjustable stock can fit both my 4’11” girlfriend and my 6’4″ best friend. It’s also designed for a factory Ruger barrel (as opposed to a .920 barrel), which is hard to find. I wish that the pistol grip was interchangeable with AR-15 grips, that the cheek weld on the butt was more comfortable, and that it didn’t take six screws to hold on the upper rail. Keep in mind that if you’re in an AWB state, this stock makes your 10/22 an assault weapon.
This stock was part of my first 10/22, “pimping.”
This Ruger 10/22 Tapco stock was part of my first 10/22 “pimping,” and I’ve got to say – incredible. To start, this is a great way to turn your rifle into a Swiss army knife. Its sturdy and looks mean. Not to mention it’s a drop-in, and for me, it was easy to install. My only strife with the whole package is the hardware. The bolts for the stock are near impossible to attach to the stock without a rubber mallet or some gentle tapping with something hard. Directions were bunk as well. But the overall product was worth it. Turned my vanilla 10/22 into something meaningful. This is perhaps my favorite ruger 10/22 accessories that I have purchased.
Solid product
Stock arrived on time and intact. The fit was great; install was so easy a small child could figure it out. It looks and feels good. The adjustable stock is adjustable, so it’s not rock solid but not loose by any means.only one complaint… the upper/forward rail is held on by what appears to be wood screws. It doesn’t impact the function but may cause issues after several cleaning takedowns… not sure yet. But seeing as you don’t even need to install that piece its not a big deal. I would buy again for the price…
The installation was …
The installation of the tapco intrafuse 10/22 was smooth, looks great, but I couldn’t use a regular scope on the rifle. I had to buy a red dot scope that is considerably shorter than the scopes I usually use. I couldn’t get the front piece off to clean the rifle with a four powered scope on it.
Generally excellent, with a big exception
+pistol grip, collapsible stock, and bottom rail cover are ergonomic +looks good, “tactical” but not full-on “M4gery” +pistol grip and forend are solid +bottom rail is suitable for a grip, light, and bipod +straight/angled buttstock options can give a good cheek weld with either an optic or irons +omitting the buttstock entirely is also an option +storage tube in stock -AWFUL TOP RAIL, it’s polymer woodscrewed onto more polymer. Six of those have to be unscrewed for each disassembly. Not solid enough to merit a magnified optic, and too far forward for most anyways. (I just leave the top rail uninstalled) -slight wobble to buttstock (electrical tape along the tubes’ sides and the top can help tighten the fit) -lag bolt used for the pistol grip, but because there’s no need to remove the pistol grip from the stock’s main body, that’s not so bad. -Pistol grip storage compartment door latch is flimsy -the sling mount on the bottom back seems weak, forget all about the top rail, and you should be reasonably happy with the 10/22 Intrafuse. If you need a top forward track, look into UTG’s scout rail.
Bought the Dark Flat …
Bought the Dark Flat Earth colored one. Looks cool to young kids and older ones. Assembly of the Ruger 10/22 Tapco stock was easy; instructions are easy enough for a kid to assemble. I left the top, fore-end, barrel cover off, as it seems unnecessary, and the barrel was free-floated, with sights unobstructed, to teach kids to shoot iron sights. The fit was perfect. My six y/o nephew is small for age, and with stock collapsed all the way forward, he can shoulder the 10/22 to fit so that he can shoot this weapon. The kid loves it, his Dad is happy; his bigger sisters can all use it, so it provides the entire family. Great buy if you are teaching kids to shoot, and the pistol grip feels pretty comfortable. Stock is maybe not as rigid as some competition/match shooters may prefer. This stock is a scratch-proof, durable, lightweight stock that will enhance handling for chores like small varmint work or plinking fun.
Great 10/22 stock for the price!
I wanted a stock to teach my kids how to shoot so they can work their way up to an AR-15. The quality is excellent for the price. No fitting issues whatsoever. My AR-15 has a skinny handrail, and this stock is almost identical to it. The shoulder stock does wiggle a little, but even the M4 I had in the Marine Corps, the stock wiggled. The only improvement I wish they would make is scrapping the SAW style pistol grip and putting an A2 style grip on there. Otherwise, this is a great product.
