Magpul MOE Stock reviews

Good AR stock fits me…

The magpul moe stock is a good and fits my bushmaster and dpms snug. Looks awesome. The butt pad is narrower and tapered, so when you’re used to the flat feel of the standard buttstock, it feels looser against your shoulder. Just something new to get used to.

Like Chuck M, I couldn’t …

Like Chuck M, I couldn’t justify the extra money for the little clamp, either. I bought two of the magpul moe stocks, one for my DPMS carbine, and one for my Arsenal Saiga. It fits like a glove on the DPMS, and I’m really happy with it. On the Saiga, it was almost too tight to install or move once on (the tube’s fault, not MagPul’s), and I eventually upgraded to the Magpul UBR, but this is a very well made stock for those not looking to spend a lot for an easy upgrade.

Another great magpul stock. Very similar to the Magpul CTR stock but at a more affordable price. Great quality for the money.

Very nice AR-15 stock. I replaced a DPMS stock with this, and it is nice and tight with little, if any, wobble. Easy to install. I actually laid out the CTR and the MOE next to each other and couldn’t justify spending an extra 50 for an extra clamp. I don’t believe it would make THAT much of a difference, and I like the ease of use. Overall, highly recommended.

Ordered this stock by mistake …

Ordered the magpul moe stock by mistake instead of the military diameter. I like them so much that I put this one up for a later day. Solid, comfortable, and near impossible to unlatch accidentally. The rubber pad is a nice touch – not enough for padding, but it stays put well.

I have one magpul moe stock

I have one Magpul moe stock and the CTR. They both look good, and they work great. I find the MOE a better value. The lock on the CTR is a bit superfluous, and I really just don’t see the need. They both fit mil-spec tubes and no slop with either of them. I highly recommend this stock.

The AR Stock is good. …

The AR Stock is good. Slightly stiff while sliding in and out at first but has worked loose. Very little side play — no attachment point for sling swivel. Slim design gives an AR a different look. I seem to prefer the original look of the M4 style, but this ar stock is a great option and a welcome accessory. Thank you.

I am not going to claim a huge improvement over the factory A4 stock, but this appears to be well made, and I believe it will be durable. I miss the fixed metal sling attachment point of the original, hence the four stars. I like that the release lever is protected. The Olive Drab is much darker than my Glock pistol–just an observation I wanted to pass on.

I own both the MOE and …

I own both the MOE and the CTR. The MOE fits well on my mil-spec tube and looks great with very little play. It’s a good low-cost alternative to the CTR. However, the CTR has a quick-detach sling attachment point and locks really solid. If these extra features aren’t important, then the MOE is a good value for the money.

Installed thismoe magpul stock on my 16″ …

Installed this moe magpul stock on my 16″ flat-top carbine. Way better than the commercial stock that came with the weapon. I purchased a mil-spec tube, used the existing buffer and spring, and slid the MOE stock on. Very tight with no side to side play. I replaced the.30″ butt pad with the Magpul .70″ Enhanced butt pad that gave me almost a 1/2″ more on the length, better recoil impulse mitigation and absorbs shock better should you drop the weapon on its end. This stock should be considered a must-have improvement or your first choice if building an AR from the ground up. Like just about everything MagPul makes, top quality, Made in the USA, and an undeniable value as well. I am currently replacing all the rifle’s parts with MagPul where possible.

I ordered this magpul moe stock for me…

I ordered this magpul moe stock for my most recent build and was surprised. It fits solid as a rock and is the only AR15 collapsible stock that I have seen that has had zero play when fitted over the buffer tube. I have become a Magpul fanatic in the past year or so. All of my AR15’s have the magpul trigger guard and use Pmag magazines (20 and 30 round). One also has the MOE carbine forend grip with the MOE vertical grip, and my most recent has this buttstock, rubberized MOE pistol grip, and the MOE trigger guard. This company builds top-notch stuff.
